Dilip D. Paranjape (B. Com., F.C.A.)

Born on 12th December, 1938 (80 years age now), He completed Chartered Accountant course & started practising in January 1969. Today He is partner with my son Mr. Abhijit Paranjape C. A. in the firm 'Paranjape & Paranjape'.

He has spent major portion of my studentship (1955 to 1965) with Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad working on various levels. While doing day-to-day organization work, He travelled to North Eastern states with Mr. Padmanabh Acharya, who recently worked as Governor of Nagaland. During these 10 years in ABVP, he worked with Honourable Ex-Governor of Nagaland Mr. Padmanabh Acharya, we together have commissioned for important projects of National integration- such as 'Students Experience in Interstate Living'(SEIL) and 'My Home is India'(MHI). These two schemes were formed on the basis of our own experience after travelling extensively for one month in North - East.
He is working as General Secretary (Mumbai) of the trust 'Indian National Fellowship Centre' (established in 1979 by Mr. P. B. Acharya) since July 2014 till today.
He was also associated with Natya Darpan Dramatic Association for 10 years. He was a member of Managing Committee of Lokmanya Seva Sangh (Tilak Mandir - social organization established in 1923) in 1992. He was President of Lions Club of Jogeshwari. He has worked voluntarily in plantation & care of 950 trees on a road track of 18 kilometers (both sides) at Ratnagiri, Coastal Road campaign of water conservation in Ratnagiri (with 600 students from three different universities) to clean river track of 7 to 8 k.m. and side dam resulting in increase of total height of nearing well-water by 7 sq. ft. within 8 days.
He has taken main lead in cleaning public garden opposite Gujarat Society in Vile Parle (East), Mumbai. He is a supporter of 'friends of trees' and has contributed personally to organizations like Jivanjyot (Pune), Dr. Hedgewar Hospital (Aurangabad), Institute of Nana Palkar Smruti (medical facility), Marathi Vidnyan Parishad etc.
During his professional career, He has handled accounts of corporates, partnership firms, trusts, and Marathi, Hindi, Gujarati individuals - with arbitration. He is nominated as a member of Court University of Dibrugadh, SNDT, NSS Board (Mumbai).
He is associated with 'SPA = Swachh Parle Abhiyan', & as President - Nagrik Dakshata Shakha ('No to Plastic' movement) of Lokmanya Seva Sangh, Vile Parle (East).

  • To foster Comradeship and Brotherhood amongst the people of our country and to strengthen he National and democratic forces.
  • To plan and involve the people of the area, considering the natural resources available, in the developmental activities.
  • To understand and respect and learn the languages, dialects and way of life of our hill and tribal brothers and disters.
  • To arrange tours of the youths and leaders of the society to the other parts of the country and make them experience the oneness of our rich culture and fellowship of our people.
  • Exchange of performing Art teams and craftsman from one state to other. To encourage their craft-work, arrange exhibition and promotion of sale.
  • To offer Fellowship and Scholarship to the Educated Youths to study the Tribal dislects and publish their folklore and songs in Devanagri script.
  • To give help, aid and or rehabilitate the social workers who have dedicated themselves to the cause of the Society.
  • To take up programme and projects for rural upliftment. Relief of the Poor.
  • To provide Education & Medical Relief.


Our journey wouldn't have been realized without the support of several people - our parents, families and most importantly our brothers and sisters of the NEFA who embraced us with open arms. I hope this coffee table book, which has pictures of the region and our many joyful moments there, gives you a sense of the magical place and its warm people.
